     New Vienna is a village located in Clinton County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 1,294.

New Vienna became a village on June 7, 1853. The New Vienna grade school was started in 1860.  The New Vienna Bank (now First National Bank and Trust) was started in 1876, with Edward T. Arthur as cashier.

As of the
census of 2000, there are 1,294 people living in the village.  There are 555 housing units.  The average household size is 2.60 people and the average family size is 3.16. The median income for a household in the village is $31,750, and the median income for a family is $36,339. 

New Vienna is part of the East Clinton Local School district.  There is one elementary school.  Middle School and High School are located in Leescreek, Ohio, combined with the village of Sabina.
